Pollen says the robot ships with seven trained moves. Its published demonstrations cover walking, sitting and standing, kicking, grabbing with the beak, roller skating and recovery from common falls.[1][3][4] These are manufacturer demonstrations. They show the intended behavior set, not repeatability across retail units.
Our view: Microduck earns its place on a workbench through an inspectable training path, not through the number of tricks in its launch reel.
How does Microduck reinforcement learning work?
Microduck's reinforcement learning stack is the main reason to buy it. Its runtime drives the servos with neural policies through a 50 Hz control loop. The separate training repository uses MuJoCo and PPO, models randomized conditions and backlash, then exports ONNX policies for the robot to run.[4][5]
